Needed, at the age of 65, my first tooth extraction. I was very nervous, but the staff were marvellous. Extraction was painless and went off without a hitch. Many thanks to Dr Meg for the surgery, as well as Ash and the hygiene team for the diagnosis. A five star service from start to finish!

Had a filling in a very difficult to reach back tooth. Dr Ash and Tabby fully explained and discussed the treatment beforehand. All went very well, they were really supportive and helpful and put me at my ease at all times. Before and after photos were done, and it’s an excellent result, tooth looks and feels natural. I have had a severe phobia about the dentist resulting in years of not going. I finally took the plunge and saw Derek at the Christchurch Practice. Everyone there has been supportive and kind, from Becky in the first instance who spent a long while on the phone reassuring me how the practice would support me, to all the staff and dental nurses and, of course, right through to Derek. Derek outlined the course of treatment he felt my teeth needed and he has worked his way through his plan. He even tolerated – with surprising cheerfulness – my insistence on gagging throughout every procedure: he was unfazed! Whilst I still don’t enjoy going to the dentist (who does!), Christchurch practice has made it possible and I thoroughly recommend them.

Still getting exceptional care from this practice and the new dentist and hygienists has been a superb new addition to the practice.

I have been a patient at the practice for many years and have watched it expand over the years. Derek and his staff are always attentive and take care to fully explain the procedures they propose and give alternatives where there are any. The expansion of the practice has aided getting emergency appointments when necessary and many specialist procedures can be dealt with inhouse but where not Derek recommends those that can deal with the work.

The care is exceptional as once when travelling to SE Asia I developed an issue at Dubai and Derek happily responded to an email with a picture of the issue I had and gave advise as to how to deal with the matter until my return.

Still getting exceptional care from this practice and the new dentist and hygienists has been a superb new addition to the practice.

I had an amazing positive experience at Christchurch Dental yesterday.

I have been terrified of having any dental work done for many years due to a bad childhood experience, the staff here have spent the last 5 or so years building up my trust and confidence with visiting the dentist, and yesterday it all paid off! I had several injections and a filling done, for the first time in my life and I am so proud of myself for overcoming a huge fear.

The whole team are all so brilliant, friendly, supportive and professional at every stage. I’d like to say a special thank you to Kirsty for being so calming and gentle, and patient with me, I honestly couldn’t have got through it without your support, and Ash for taking so much time and patience over the years to finally get me to this point of being able to have work done. This dental practice is exceptional in every aspect

I have disliked going to the dentist since childhood, but the entire team is incredibly polite and welcoming, which has truly helped to alley my fears – I’ve had two crowns replaced multiple times, and each procedure has been carried out with great care and consideration – They use modern techniques and ensure you’re well-informed throughout each step of the treatment – If you’re considering private dental care, I can highly recommend this practice.

I’ve been a patient for several years and I’m very happy. Both the dentist and hygienist were careful and considerate and the equipment is stunning! A very knowledgeable and up to date practice. Updated for 2025 to say that, given most of us would rather not visit the dentist,, this practice really is as good as it gets and almost fun. Cheerful, highly professional practitioners who all really do seem to love their work. Short of inventing a way to get the body grow a third set of teeth, this place could not be better.

I contacted Christchurch Dental in October 2024 to enquire about having my teeth straightened after my sister had completed her Invisalign treatment at Christchurch with amazing results. From my first phone call to the practice I have been so impressed with Dr Derek and his entire team. I wanted to send a huge heartfelt thank you to Dr Abdullah and Treatment Co-ordinator Meg for taking such amazing care of our 9 year old son during his treatment.

He is neurodiverse, with sensory processing disorder and always needing to know EVERYTHING with 101 questions, I really didn’t think treatment outside of a specialist centre would be possible for him. However, his first experience of dental treatment was a big success. I know it wasn’t easy for Dr Abdullah or Meg, but they were both incredible with him and I absolutely cannot thank them enough. Watching him dancing (sorry for the moving target Dr Abdullah) while you were drilling was a highlight, haha! Thanks again from a very grateful mum!

Had a 6 monthly check-up with Dr Babbar

Had a 6 monthly check-up with Dr Babbar and appointment with the hygienist Jess last week followed by a separate appointment for two side fillings to repair worn tooth near the gum. On both visits I received excellent care and attention.

The two side fillings have made an enormous difference, I was shown the before an after photos by Dr Babbar.

The procedure itself was painless and the steps explained to me.

I’ve been a long time patient at Christchurch Dental Practice and always found the team very welcoming and friendly. Poppy on reception is always cheerful and efficient arranging the appointments.

Amazing treatment & care from the moment i arrived until the moment i left

I was refered here by my own dentist because of difficulties with a tooth extraction, I was contacted the very same day by a pleasant team member & was seen the next day. Amazing treatment & care from the moment i arrived until the moment i left. I was offered a drink, the waiting room was lovely & welcoming everyone were friendly & listened & the first class treatment i received from Dr Megan Samuel & her assistant Hollie was above & beyond . Everything was explained constant praise as i was treated ,& a discussion as to what to do for aftercare. The only negative was i am disabled which they were unaware & i had to climb the stairs but they helped me every step of the way. I have enquired about transferring to this practice & will definately look into doing so in the near future. I would advise anyone looking for the perfect dentist to try here & be satisfied with a first class experience.

I have been with this dental practice for over 20 years. Gosh has it been that long? There is always one or two friendly people to greet you at reception. The hygienists are also friendly and do an excellent job of cleaning my teeth. They give good advice. Derek, the principal dentist has looked after me all these years and I have been more than happy with his help when dealing with a difficult tooth or just doing the normal check-up. During Covid I felt very safe attending for my appointments. The staff made a genuine effort to keep everything clean and sanitised. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a clean, up-to-date practice, and friendly service.

How satisfied am I you may ask … 110%!

Following my last review 7 months ago, I have now completed my 12th but not last, appointment at Christchurch. How satisfied am I you may ask … 110%….still taking “baby steps” with the ongoing great emotional support from a brilliant team. I have now an awesome new, almost complete, set of Smileys (dentures). In all honesty, it was not easy at first…”Why do my smileys fall out when I speak? Why am I unable to eat without gagging?” These questions were duly answered by Dr Ash, my Consultant, and now total comfort has set in. Today I can laugh with my heart, my friends and my new smileys! Yes.. I still have to face my fears and anxiety of a dental chair to complete my treatment ……and see a look from Dr Derek making sure I am not facing the entrance door for a quick exit before my treatment. So…if you need a trustworthy professional dental practice, urgent treatment and/or a new set of smileys…urgently cast your fears aside and make the call you may have been putting off until next month or next year…..pick up your mobile and talk to the friendly receptionists Christchurch!

Simply the best Dental Surgery I have ever used. I have recently been on the Invisalign “journey” and my teeth are now aligned and much easier to clean, as well as being much more aesthetically pleasing. The whole team from the reception, dentist and support team were caring and ensured that I was informed with what was going on at all times. Excellent experience – 10/10. I had wanted to do Invisalign for some time and after a bit of research in the Ipswich area, I decided to go with Christchurch Dental in November 2019. Eighteen months later – I have finished my treatment today and I could not be happier with the results.

Derek and the rest of the staff at the practice were so supportive, flexible and professional throughout my treatment. I moved to London halfway through my Invisalign, which I was anxious about in terms of keeping up with my treatment, but the team at Christchurch could not have been more supportive, and advised me that they would always work around you, which I was so grateful for.

10 years ago I visited the Christchurch Dental Practice due to emergency treatment required but never returned only due to my high anxiety of visiting the dentist.

Following pressure from family and friends who want to hear me laugh and see me smile again, I am now attending this lovely practice for much needed dental treatment. I wish I had gone back 10 years ago. I had a welcoming and reassuring call from Gabi (apologies for the tears, Gabi) with a plan of action agreed from the start.

I shall soon be attending my 6th treatment. My dental anxiety is now at level 3 out of 10 due to “baby steps” taken, by Dr. Ash, my reassuring Practitioner.

It is the welcoming smiles from the lovely team and a “hello” from Dr Derek …whilst I sit in the waiting room that I return for my treatment.

I joined Christchurch Dental Practice last year after researching the local area for a good dentist. I chose Christchurch because of the brilliant reviews about customer service and the professionalism of all the staff ! I was not disappointed ! It is a lovely warm friendly personable practice.
