Implant referrals
Dr van Staden has been confidently placing implants since 2006 and has been awarded the prestigious Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons. Derek is also a member of the ADI (the Association of Dental Implantology) and the ITI (International Team for Implantology.
He is experienced in the use of a variety of implant systems, including Straumann, Nobel Biocare and Astra. He has also received advanced training in minor oral surgery and sedation.
We accept referrals for the following:
- Implant placement only
- Implant placement and restorations
- Soft and hard tissue grafting prior to placement
- Complex Implant cases

Dr Megan Samuel graduated from Manchester Dental School in 2017. As an undergraduate , she won the anatomy prize for dissection and was nominated for the prestigious John Lowry Oral Surgery award. Megan completed her dental core training years in Ipswich and Broomfield Hospital maxillofacial/oral surgery units where she developed a passion for Oral Surgery.
We accept referrals for the following:
- Difficult extractions and root removals
- Impacted third molars
- Biopsies
- Removal of polyps

We have a well established hygiene team at Christchurch who provide an excellent standard of care and are passionate about treating periodontal conditions.
We welcome referrals for the following periodontal treatments:

We work with you to assist your patients in the treatment of cases such as tooth wear, full mouth rehabilitation cases such as occlusal rehabilitation, partially dentate and edentulous cases involving partial or full dentures with unsuccessful previous attempts. We can work with you performing the complex part of the treatment whilst you work on the treatment you are comfortable providing. We will keep you fully informed throughout the treatment plan.
